Spencer’s Run is named in memory of long-time New Canaan resident Spencer Plavoukos and his yellow labradore named "Bo".  An early and wise supporter of establishing a local area where owners and their dogs could safely get together, Spencer and his dog were tragically killed by a motor vehichle in October, 2005. Given Spencer's commitment to establishing a dog park in New Canaan and the love he shared with Bo - his family, friends and founding members of the dog park could think of no better way to honor Spencer than naming the park after him. We are very proud that Spencer’s Run will be a joyful and lasting tribute to such a special man and member of our New Canaan community.
